IISD Experimental Lakes Area (IISD-ELA) —the world’s freshwater laboratory—is thrilled to be participating in the 2018 Great Canadian Giving Challenge Campaign!
2018 is a significant year as IISD-ELA is celebrating 50 years of ground-breaking freshwater research and science that has uncovered evidence-based methods to combat threats against our fresh water, and has rewritten environmental policy here in Canada and around the world!
We Need Your Help to Reach our Campaign Goals - How it Works:
The IISD-ELA 2018 Great Canadian Giving Challenge Campaign’s projected fundraising goal is $12,000, which would be a 193% increase from last year’s campaign revenues. Proceeds from this year’s campaign will be designated towards IISD-ELA’s Environmental Education and Outreach Program.
IISD-ELA has secured a generous '$5000 Matching Challenge Campaign Donor' which means every online donation you make towards our campaign is now doubled! $1 + $1 = $2
IISD-ELA is very grateful to have also received a $1000.00 Corporate Donation from Red River Co-op Ltd. towards this great initiative!
But is gets even more exciting, as IISD-ELA has an opportunity to win a $10,000 cash prize from the Great Canadian Giving Challenge national campaign organizers, but we need your help! Every $1 online donation we receive in the month of June acts as one ballot entered into this cash prize draw in which one lucky charity's name will be drawn on July 1st, 2018. The more ballots we get, the better chance we have to be drawn for this cash prize. Please remember, only donations received from June 1st to June 30th will be counted.
Thank You For Your Support!
We regard IISD Experimental Lakes Area as a precious scientific asset to be protected for future generations, and our organization is so very fortunate to have you as a part of our IISD-ELA family. We look forward to continuing this journey together in protecting our most valuable resource-water.
