Profile of Moisson Outaouais

With it’s regional agency status, Moisson Outaouais is responsible to provide food to all of the Outaouais region which include the city of Gatineau, but also the Pontiac, the Petite-Nation and all of the upper Gatineau area. Moisson Outaouais wants to be a leader in the hunger and poverty fight in the region and is always developing news ideas to help and do more for the people in need. With the help of the regional Food Bank, the Outaouais has now access to important food sharing systems from Food Banks Canada and Food Banks Québec. Moisson Outaouais also works to develop large-scale partnerships with food companies and joins the region’s corporative world in helping further those in need.

Through it’s power of recuperation, Moisson Outaouais ensures a massive, important and affluent supplying in the Outaouais. Each dollar invested at Moisson Outaouais is transformed into $8 worth of food.

Mission statement

As the regional food bank, we work toward 50 organizations to  improve the quality of life of socio-economically disadvantaged people in the Outaouais region by providing them with basic food needs.

Regional hunger profile

• More than 16,000 people used food aid services in the Outaouais region for the month of March 2021. This is an increase of 36.6% compared to 2019.
• More than 4 900 of those in need are children.
