Our Mission
The mission of the Prostate Cancer Fight Foundation is to save men’s lives by funding prostate cancer research and by raising public awareness of the disease.
About Our Charity
Our goal as an organization, and through the Ride For Dad, is to spread awareness and fund research for Prostate Cancer so that men can continue to be there for their families and friends for years to come.
Why prostate cancer?
Prostate cancer is the third leading cause of death from cancer in men in Canada. If caught early the 5-year survival rate is 93%. It can be a different story when detected late. Every day nearly 66 Canadian men are told they have prostate cancer and another 12 men die from the disease.
Prostate cancer can exist with no apparent symptoms until its advanced stages, early detection through regular checkups, and PSA testing is the key to survival. Men over age 40 are encouraged to talk to their doctor about the risk of prostate cancer.
To date, we have raised over 37 million dollars towards prostate cancer research and awareness!
