Our Mission
Thank you for your interest in supporting Rotary Etobicoke and our projects.
Rotary is composed of professionals in the community who believe in "Service Above Self" and, through Rotary, have a way to live that passion. We give money to worthwhile groups and have "Hands-On Etobicoke" projects that add manpower to support organizations' work in the community. We also host the Toronto Ribfest - a fabulous, fun festival for well over 100,000 people each year, raising well over $1M in the past few years.
All the money raised is given to worthwhile organizations in the community and abroad who request our support.
Your funds can be directed to a cause or simply to be donated to the club for us to decide:
Rotary Food Initiative: a community-based collaboration. Our common goal is to end child hunger in the city while educating youth about food security issues and nutrition while providing sustainable food-delivery models for those most in need.
Community Services: Our main committee supports community agencies that assist low-income or marginalized individuals, including shelters, community centres, and organizations aiding the developmentally challenged. The committee also oversees Hands-on projects and volunteering all over Etobicoke.
New Generations Service: Provide resources and support for mentorships, scholarships, educational, and leadership initiatives, including dedicated assistance for Interact and Rotaract programs.
International and Indigenous Service: Provide resources and support to international agencies and selected Indigenous communities.
General Community Club Funds: These funds are used at the Club’s discretion to support engagement and advancements in local events, including Environment Day, parades (Santa Claus and St. Patrick), and various Club events.
Ending Polio: Rotary is "this close" to eradicating polio.
