Our Mission

Since 1999, Centre A has been pushing the boundaries of contemporary art. It promotes discussion about pluralism and the construction of Asian identities. Centre A is fully engaged with its geographical space, both locally and globally, working with organizations, artists and people from all walks of life to build a platform for creative exploration and exchange.

We do this through exhibitions, performances, symposia, residencies, publications and educational programs. We host a wide range of meetings and conversations, both formal and informal. We network nationally and send Canadian artists abroad. We maintain a unique library and involve students in production and research. Maintaining rigorous artistic standars, Centre A enjoys an international reputation for excellence and innovation.
