About Us

The goal of Hospice Care is to improve the quality of life for individuals and their families during the end-of-life and grief journey.

Since the pandemic, we have seen the ripple effects surfacing in our community, including a wide range of grief and loss, resulting in very complex cases. Also contributing to the increased need for our care is the significant number of suicides and toxic drug deaths in B.C.

Since 2021 our requests for support have increased by an unprecedented 81%. Thanks to the generous support of our community, we have managed this increase while providing exceptional quality care to our clients.

If we could provide one message, it would be to invite Hospice Care into your loved one's journey early, so you and your family can be encircled with compassionate care, allowing them to live a purposeful end-of-life and share in joy and love.

Mission

Our Mission is to ensure that dying and bereaved people have access to programs and services provided by trained, committed staff and volunteers, supported by an organization that is passionate in achieving our long-term Vision.

Vision

Our Vision for the Hospice Society is to ensure everyone in Campbell River and surrounding communities has access to high-quality care through programs and services that offer counselling, companioning, and understanding when experiencing end-of-life or bereavement, regardless of beliefs and culture.
