Fighting local poverty is not easy work. It takes grit, determination and hard work to tackle the stubborn, complex issues connected to poverty.  

That’s why United Way is digging in, doing what it takes, to ensure we can meet basic needs in our community – food, housing, good jobs, mental health supports – and build strong neighbourhoods where everyone has what they need to thrive. But we need you.  

It takes community to build community.  With your support, we are connecting 1.8 million people each year to food, shelter, good jobs, mental health supports and more. We are bringing people together and enable and empower smart, scalable solutions to emerging community challenges. We are building and protecting community spaces to vital programs and services continue to be there, close to home, when people need them most.
