The Way of Holiness retreat center, located in Hinton, Alberta, was founded by Sr. Mary-Jo Cassidy, in 1977.
As a member of the Sisters of the Precious Blood, she felt God’s calling to provide a place for people to enjoy prayer and solitude which held to her leaving the convent. Sr. Mary-Jo was a woman of great faith who relied on Jesus for everything.
It was her vision to create a space that would facilitate growth in spiritual maturity and intimacy with God.
Following this vision, the Way of Holiness has become a place of refuge where one can retreat from the burdens of everyday life, receive prayer ministry, and grow in holiness alongside others in our lay community.
We are a non-profit charity that relies on the donations of others to continue keeping our retreat center and lay community running. It is because of kind donors like yourself that we are able to continue the vision Sr. Mary Jo had for Way of Holiness.
Way of Holiness Retreat Centre and Lay Community provides opportunities for rest, healing, reflection, and prayer through individual retreats, group retreats and facility rentals.
