We enhance the educational experience, focusing on the development of key literacies in reading, digital skills, mathematics and sciences so that you can be resilient in an increasingly complex and dynamic world.

About MARKHAM PUBLIC LIBRARY

Through 8 library branches, MPL provides vibrant and inclusive spaces for social interaction, access to library resources for leisure reading, learning and literacy, family engagement, and studying. 

Through our website, we provide access to rich digital resources that support online learning, reading and leisure hobbies.  We also provide Digital Media Labs and makerspaces that ensure inclusive public access to current and emerging technologies along with the training services and programs needed to develop digital literacy skills.

We deliver programs, both virtually and in-branch, which develop fundamental literacies of reading and writing and advance digital and STEAM literacies, compliment formal education and foster both personal and economic development through lifelong learning.
