The Canadian Critical Incident Stress Foundation (CCISF) stands as a beacon of support and guidance for frontline emergency personnel, military personnel, and their families. Our mission is rooted in the recognition of the unique challenges faced by those who serve in high-stress environments, often exposed to traumatic events that can have lasting psychological impacts. With unwavering dedication, the CCISF is committed to mitigating the effects of stress and combatting Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD, through comprehensive programs and resources tailored to the needs of our brave men and women in uniform. Beyond addressing the individual needs of personnel, we extend our support to their families, recognizing the crucial role they play in the well-being of our heroes.
The CCISF is deeply devoted to aiding the families of emergency service personnel and those who have lost loved ones due to line-of-duty death, suicide and sudden death and those families impacted by PTSD. Through programs such as Camp F.A.C.E.S. (Family and Children of Emergency Services), offering education, advocacy, and peer-driven initiatives, the CCISF endeavors to foster resilience, healing, and a sense of community among those who sacrifice so much to keep our communities safe.
