In order to contribute to the reduction/ prevention of the Covid- 19 Pandemic in the communities of
Lamwo-Palabek Refugee Settlement and Acholi Quarter - Kampala, Uganda.
IAFR Canada's partners on the ground, I Live Again Uganda, have been invited by the Ugandan officials and the UNHCR to provide the following critically needed, urgent services:
1.Sensitization on COVID-19
2. Soap
3. Rice, Maize and Beans for 100 families who are in danger of starving during the shutdown in the Acholi Quarter- Kampala
4. As a result of Covid-19, there has been a spike in domestic violence which ILA Uganda is uniquely suited to address. This funding will enable training sessions with leaders and pastors to assist in their frontline work within the Palabek camp as it relates to gender-based violence.
