As in prior years, I am supporting the incredible work of Hospice Toronto by participating in the Hike for Hospice on June 09th.
Many of you know I have had the privilege of serving as their CEO for over 20 years. What you may not know is that I also experienced the impact of our care, from a different perspective, when my husband peter was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. Hospice two year journey ...and mine as his caregiver, was mad possible through the support of Hospice Toronto as such a compassionate employer, by the weekly Reiki therapy visit and the ongoing access to home support through their care team.

We receive less than 40% of our funding from government and a raise the remainder through a combination of fundraising efforts that include our Hike for Hospice.
