Located at the top of the Beaver Valley, Hope Haven Therapeutic Riding Centre promotes the physical, cognitive, social and emotional well-being of children and adults with disabilities and unique challenges through equestrian sport, recreational therapy programs.

Your donation directly supports programs that include our Special Olympics Pegasus team, adaptive riding, horsemanship, hippotherapy, Saddle Up for Success for schools and camp and our Therapeutic Recreation program. 

 Our specialized equestrian programs assist to improve balance, mobility, body awareness, circulation, strength, co-ordination, muscle tone and endurance. The cognitive benefits to participation may include improved communication, behaviour, task management, sequential and cognitive thinking, and anxiety reduction. Interactions with our staff and volunteers facilitate social contact and the development of social interaction skills as well as assisting in building confidence and self-esteem for all our participants.
