Due to the pandemic, 2020 Hong Fook Gala has been cancelled due to the pandemic. Gala has always been the major fundraising event for the foundation and the fund that Gala raised has been critical for many of Hong Fook’s programs including Integrated Community Program, Integrated Recovery Program, and Hong Fook Youth and Family Hub. In light of the critical need for fund and the wish to support Asian communities’ mental health needs, Asian Psychiatric Community Clinic and the Foundation are hosting a series of mental health webinars on Saturday, June 6, 2020 called “Together We Thrive”. There will be 5 webinars in 5 languages. The webinars are free for everyone, and we hope to have sponsors and donors to support us in this.

On behalf of Asian Community Psychiatric Clinic (Asian Clinic) and Hong Fook Mental Health Foundation, we would like to invite you to join us for a series of mental health webinars called “Together We Thrive - Overcoming mental health challenges with the Asian Communities” on Saturday, June 6, 2020.
This is an usual time, with unusual challenges to all sectors of society across our country, across the world. We are all impacted in so many ways. Aside from the threat to our physical health, our mental health is equally threatened.
For those of us already struggling with mental health issues, the challenge is even bigger, particularly in the ethnic minority communities.
To help Asian Communities go through the mental health challenges during the COVID – 19 pandemic, on Saturday, June 6, 2020, psychiatrists from Asian Clinic will host five workshops in five languages. Here are the list of collaborating psychiatrists and their webinars: Dr. Albert Allan – Vietnamese Webinar; Dr. Alex Xiang – Mandarin Webinar; Dr. Brian Cho - Korean Webinar; Dr. Kenneth Fung – Cantonese Webinar; Dr. Michael Mak – English Webinar. It will be chaired by Dr. Ted Lo, Asian Clinic Director.
We are in this together, and we will overcome this together and emerge as a stronger and more compassionate community.
