We are seeing an increased influx of patient who require IV or IO fluids. We currently have one IV pump and it is running over hours. This means that we sometimes have a line up of animals waiting to receive fluids.
When dealing with patients who have suffered trauma of sorts shock can be lethal. Receiving IO or IV fluids reduces shock rapidly reducing the risk of organ damage and or death.
We are therefor trying to raise the money to purchase a second IV pump. It will enable us to help our patients receive fluids without waiting in line.
