This Holiday Campaign, we are looking to be able to provide art supplies to children to help them settle in their new homes. $10 will help us provide art kits to children of various ages. 

Furnishing Homes Changing Lives

Helping With Furniture is a volunteer-run charitable organization that provides gently-used furniture and household goods to families and individuals in need who are living in the Ottawa area. Our mission is to furnish homes with comfort, hope, and dignity.

In 2022, we provided furniture and household goods to 1,291 individuals in 501 new homes.Of these, 204 of our clients had long been living in Canada but struggled with mental illness,abusive situations or homelessness; 296 were refugees or recent immigrants, many of whom had fled conflict or natural disaster in their homeland. appeal for, collect, and deliver used furniture, household goods, and furnishings to individuals and families who are restarting their lives because of situations of hardship brought on by international and domestic displacement.

All money raised goes towards the purchasing of items for the clients, or for the ongoing maintenance of the organization. If money raised exceeds project requirements or cannot be used as planned due to unforeseen circumstances, it will go toward providing similar items to our clients.
