HelpAge International has been operating in Ukraine since November 2014 when conflict broke out in the east of the country.
Older people and people with disabilities are often unable to flee from conflict and are left alone without family or their wider community. They are isolated, without loved ones and cut off from support, including access to medicine and food. They are particularly exposed when violence breaks out, as they may not be able to shelter from danger.
HelpAge is actively engaging with refugees in Moldova and working in Ukraine with their almost 300 person strong staff and volunteers delivering food, medicine and hygiene to older people, their families and communities. Please help by making a donation.
More than two million older people in the east of Ukraine are at extreme risk as a result of the assault on the country, which will devastate the lives of millions of people.
