Our Mission

The Heart Beats Children’s Society of Calgary is a grass roots registered charitable organization offering information, resources and emotional support to area families dealing with congenital heart disease.

Since 1987, we have been a willing collective of experienced parents, caregivers and professionals offering ourselves in practical and compassionate service to the children and their families impacted by CHD.

As issues of significance to our community arise, we lobby at a systems level institutionally and governmentally, locally, provincially and federally.

Socially, we organize a variety of family events throughout the year, always highlighting heart month with February 14th being declared Congenital Heart Day by official mayoral proclamation and with our Annual Family Event.
