HMC is a settlement agency serving newcomers, immigrants and refugees in Oakville, Burlington, Milton and Halton Hills.
We are a community-based settlement agency that provides a variety of programs and services to immigrant and refugee communities. Our staff and volunteers help newcomers settle and integrate into a community that is welcoming and inclusive.
HMC offers settlement counselling, employment supports, language learning, volunteering, mentoring, community information sessions, and transitional housing.
Donations to HMC are used for specific programs that work to connect people to the community. Multiculturalism Day is one of our events that sees HMC staff and volunteers sharing their culture and stories with the community. Other projects support elders in isolation, language circles, mom's groups and youth activities.
If you are looking to support refugee families in Halton you may choose to specify your donation. These funds will go directly to assist the families settle into Halton and will provide basic housing necessities like furniture, food, cleaning supplies, etc.
NEW - we are soliciting donations to support housing for Ukrainians in our community. 100% of the funds will be used to help set up and support Ukrainian families coming to Halton in housing for up to one year. Please consider supporting these families.
