What We Do
- Habitat provides a hand up, not a hand out, by building strength, stability, self-reliance and shelter in partnership with families in need of safe, decent and affordable housing. Habitat offers a no down payment, interest free mortgage to qualified families whose income can not support a standard mortgage and who contribute at least 500 hours of volunteer hours before taking ownership of the home.
- We raise funds for our operations and building projects though the Grand Forks and West Kootenay (Castlegar) ReStore sales of donated building materials, furnishings and housewares; through fund-raising activities and through the generous donations of funds from groups, businesses and individuals like you!
Habitat for Humanity Southeast BC serves the Boundary and Kootenay areas of British Columbia, Canada from Rock Creek to Alberta and Golden to the USA border.
