Habitat for Humanity Northwest Territories is a non-profit organization working toward a North where everyone has a safe and decent place to live. Our mission is to mobilize volunteers and community partners to build homes and promote affordable home ownership. Our goal is to help provide Northern families with safe, decent, and affordable homes.

Habitat homes are sold to partner families with a down payment in the form of volunteer sweat equity and are financed with affordable, no-interest mortgages. The homeowners’ monthly mortgage payments are set to a maximum of 30% of their gross income and mortgage payments go into a revolving fund, which is used by to build more homes for more families.
