The Grey Bruce Animal Shelter is an independent, volunteer run, no kill, owner surrender shelter. We were founded by like minded, caring individuals partnering with each other to build the Shelter and we are a registered charity.
Our goal is to find new homes for displaced dogs and cats where the owner is no longer able to care for them. All animals are vet checked, vaccinated and spayed/neutered where necessary.
We are a volunteer based operation with limited staff and receive no financial support from any level of government. All of our funding comes from donations, fundraising events and fees from surrendered and adopted dogs and cats. In 2018 alone we found new homes for 68 dogs and 66 cats.
