Informing, equipping and empowering the Canadian public to work towards a just and thriving planet.
This is a pivotal moment for our planet. With less than a decade to prevent irreversible climate damage, bold, informed action is essential. Despite widespread recognition of climate change and the urgent need to address it, powerful forces continue to block progress, clouding public understanding with disinformation and eroding democratic will. We must bridge the knowledge gap and empower Canadians to take meaningful action.
That’s why the Greenpeace Canada Education Fund (GCEF) was created. Since its launch in 2020, GCEF has focused on deepening our collective understanding of critical environmental, climate, and energy issues in Canada and around the world. Through rigorous research, education, and transparent public engagement, GCEF equips Canadians with credible information to combat disinformation, inspire public engagement, and promote systemic change.
