Grande Prairie and District Grief Support Association offers Circle of Life grief support groups and Camp Heal a Heart.
Camp Heal A Heart is a bereavement camp for children aged 5-16 years old who have experienced a loss through death, divorce, separation, or not living with their biological families. This program is unique across Canada in that the camp is both therapeutic as well as recreational.
All programs focus on identifying feelings, improving coping-skills, and self-esteem enhancement, as well as reducing the feelings of isolation by providing an opportunity for kids to meet peers who are also experiencing loss.
