The Gospel Mission Society is located in the downtown east side of Vancouver and is one of the oldest missions in Canada. It has been in operation since 1929 serving the DTES community for over 90 years.
The Gospel Mission serves the downtown east side residents in a variety of ways, through providing meals, comfort and spiritual guidance.
In 2019, the Gospel Mission's building was sold by the then owner to Millennium Property meaning we had to find a new location to call home or a temporary base of operations.
After much prayer and waiting on the Lord, we were offered shared rental space in the Door Is Open Catholic mission on Dunlevy St a few blocks east of our location on Carrall St.
God has been good. The facility is not what we are used to and the adjustments has meant some changes to our regular program but we still get to minister the Love of Jesus to the community.
