About GIRLS INCORPORATED OF UPPER CANADA

Girls Incorporated of Upper Canada (Girls Inc.) is a community youth development charity committed to inspiring girls to be strong, smart, and bold. We provide gender-specific programs and workshops to girls aged 6-18 in the Leeds & Grenville region, promoting their emotional, physical, and social well-being.

Girls Inc.'s research-based programs address self-reliance, life skills, violence prevention, substance use prevention, relational aggression and bullying, media literacy, and leadership development. Girls Inc. programming puts the tools for empowerment in girls' hands and encourages them to take healthy risks and master physical, intellectual and emotional challenges.

Girls Inc. helps girls learn critical thinking and decision-making skills, prepares girls to be leaders, and inspires them to take pride in success. We are committed to inclusive, non-stigmatizing program delivery provided through collaborative in-school and community outreach formats.

We want to inspire girls to be themselves, to face the challenges of life with strength and courage. We want girls to have confidence in themselves, and to learn skills that will help them achieve their full potential. We want girls to be safe in the world, and to take leadership in creating a world where there is mutual respect for gender, race, and differences.
