Our Mission

Founded in 1995, Girls Action Foundation is a non-profit organization that believes in the power of girls as agents of social change. Through our network of organizations across Canada, we lead, develop, and implement transformative programs that are adapted and relevant to the changing realities of girls’ and young women’s lives.

About Girls Action Foundation

Through our innovative programs, research, and support to a network of over 300 partnering organizations and projects, Girls Action reaches over 60,000 girls and young women. We reach remote, marginalized and urban communities, including those in the North.

Girls Action Foundation has the unique privilege of working both at a grassroots level, facilitating programs with girls in marginalized communities, and on a national level, convening spaces for people working with young women to come together to learn from one another. This dual approach means we are tuned into what is happening with girls, and that we bring our experience to the table when we work collectively with our network to address the challenges we have in common.
