Friends of Emmaus University of Haiti exists to advance religion and education in a Christian context in Haiti.
Friends of Emmaus University of Haiti exists to advance religion and education in a Christian context in Haiti, primarily through the degree programs and training workshops offered by Emmaus University of Haiti.
Friends of Emmaus will do this through financial contributions sent to Emmaus University by means of an Agency Agreement, but also by in-person involvement with teaching and training in Haiti, promoting education in Haiti at Canadian universities and colleges and/or helping practically with building projects.
Funds will be sent to Emmaus University in accordance with an annual budget approved by the Friends of Emmaus Board of Directors. For 2020-21, the priority areas for funding are student scholarships and equipment/teaching material needs of staff and students.
