Your model is Alex Hartshorn, a company dancer with Free Flow Dance Theatre. She most recently performed as Eos goddess of dawn in Dis-Dances Winter Quest (at Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan) and Dis-Dances Into the Snow (at Christchurch Anglican Church). She is looking forward to seeing your sketches!

Alex began her journey in dance at The Saskatoon School of Ballet, taking ballet and Ukrainian classes as a child. Throughout her earlier years she also trained in jazz and lyrical ballet. She danced semi-professionally with Ukrainian company Pavlychenko Folklorique Ensemble in Saskatoon, touring to Eastern Canada, the United States, the Caribbean with Stars at Sea cruise lines, and to parts of Europe and Ukraine. Alex holds a BFA in Acting from the University of Saskatchewan (2011), where she grew a love for physical performance. She continued her performance training at the Globe Theatre Actor Conservatory, working with movers, dancers and artistic directors Johanna Bundon (Regina), Helen Walkley (Vancouver), Rebecca Harper (Montreal), Allyson McMackon (Theatre Rusticle, Toronto) and Candace Cox (Ontario) on techniques based in Limon, Grotowski, Laban, Bartenieff, and Alexander.
