Overview
During this workshop, we will explore the capacity of the body on the floor and part of the philosophical knowledge that floor work, boxing, yoga, and different techniques of movement offer. Using techniques such as gymnastics, and parkour, passing through & flying low, we will explore the body’s capacity and adaptability. We will expand our understanding of the floor work techniques through more concepts of floor work, such as anchors, time and space, passing-though 101, and improvisation on the floor.
Last, we will explore the concepts involved in martial arts, such as action-reaction, defensive and offensive, breathing, momentum present, and some parkour and acrobatics movements.
This workshop is focused on professional dancers however we are open to movers of all levels.

Details
Fer Camacho is a born and raised Mexican Artist, they have the opportunity to train and curse high school at CENADAC, a college founded by Guillermina Bravo, where they develop their Graham technique. They continued their studies and professional development in the conservatory of contemporary dance of Yucantan, under the direction of Lourdes Luna.
In 2017, They continued their study at the Toronto dance theatre. In 2018 they started a collective under the name of COSE (collective of scenic exchange) this has given them the opportunity of continuing their professional development and to be the artistic director of the collective, organize workshops, shows, podcasts, and choreography and video-dance productions.
They had the opportunity to train in workshops and teach form dancers like Karen de Luna, Dominik Borucki, Adrian Arriaga, Francisco Cordoba, Kristie Simon, Martin Piliponsky, and Adrian Paul among others. These days Fer continues their exploration of movement focusing on Parkour, Martial Arts, and Acrobatics.
