This multi-purpose campaign will accomplish four main benefits by providing:

1). Solar for the existing grinding mill to run more efficiently and profitably

2) Solar lanterns for people in surrounding villages who don’t currently have any source of power

3) Skills training for people to do light assembly of the lanterns, and go to the villages to present lights to residents

4) Income for workers who currently have no jobs; and income for the church, that will manage the project

Working with local churches in underprivileged communities, we strive to help people improve their lives in practical and tangible ways, as they progress spiritually.

Some people might need more convenient access to clean water, or better education. But as urgently as better education, they need ways to generate income so they'll gain more dignity and won't have to always depend on other people for financial support. That's why CMI puts an emphasis on micro-enterprise.

Our results

CMI has worked with different churches to start over 30 micro-enterprise projects. These include the Worship Centre grinding mill; and groups of women to start sewing businesses.

ConstructionSince 2006, CMI has completed 9 construction projects. These include wells, a library, training room and other communal buildings

In the area of compassionate care, at different times CMI has supported individuals, grandmothers, and schoolchildren with food, health and educational needs.

CMI is a small charity, with a 3-member board. This includes the founder, who has given most of the donations. However, CMI is thankful for its handful of donors who have been supportive since 2006.
