About FRASER BASIN COUNCIL SOCIETY
Established in 1997, the Fraser Basin Council (FBC) is a non-profit, charitable society that advances sustainability throughout BC. FBC is led by directors from the four orders of government (federal, provincial, local and First Nations) and from the private sector and civil society.
FBC helps bring people together to find solutions to sustainability issues. For over 25 years, the Council has helped facilitate multiple collaborative processes that tackle a diversity of sustainability initiatives related to climate change action and resilience, healthy watersheds and sustainable communities.
We facilitate, manage and support projects on flood hazard management, watershed planning, community wildfire roundtable planning, electric vehicles and charging infrastructure, clean energy for remote communities and various other initiatives, including youth leadership projects, in which it's important to consider social, economic and environmental factors.
