Our Mission
We are a unified voice, dedicated to improving the quality of life for children and youth in care by supporting foster families' well-being.
About the FFCNWT
The FFCNWT provides support services to foster families and adoptive families across the Northwest Territories. In the summers, the FFCNWT offers five 1-week-long summer camps for children and youth from across the territory between the ages of 7-18, who have experience with social services. Camp Connections has been operational for over ten years and offers adventure, art, physical activity, and cultural activities.
The summer camp is located on a beautiful piece of land, that backs onto the Yellowknife River. All of our camp kids LOVE it, because there are games, toys, foods, and lots of space to run around or explore.
In 2020, we are fundraising to renovate the bunkhouses at camp! The current state of the cabins is rustic and homey, but we want to spice it up, and make it modern, updated, and as eloquent as bunkhouses can possibly be! With new bunkbeds and mattresses, the campers will be happy, comfortable, and looking forward to a good night's rest after a full day of fun.
Please consider donating to the renovation costs of the camper's cabins. :)
