About Us

Since our inception in 2004, FOOTPRINTS 4 Autism has offered social, behavioural and sensory activities for autistic children and youth in Durham Region, aged 4 to 21, plus respite care for their families/caregivers.  We work with autistic children and their families/caregivers to provide social and motor-skill programs, camps, build essential life skills, and foster community inclusion through education and breaking down barriers. 

Our Vision is that every autistic person has the right to 1) develop life enhancing skills, 2) socially, behaviourally and emotionally connect with their family, and 3) live in a community without barriers. 

Our Programs & Services and Locations

We operate from two locations, one in Whitby and one in Pickering, Ontario, and run 3 ½ hour program sessions, Saturday mornings and afternoons at each location for 50 autistic children.  We offer pre-teen programs for ages 4 to 13, and a new teen/youth program for ages 14-21, as well as 4 camp programs per year (spring, winter and summer, with a new March camp added due to demand).
