About FOOD BANKS ALBERTA

Over 100 Alberta communities have food banks and each month, these organizations supply food to about 80,000 Albertans. While each of these food banks provides a valuable service to their community, doing it alone isn't easy. Food Banks Alberta was incorporated in 1998 to provide a means whereby Alberta food banks share relevant information, resources and provides programs to support food bank members in serving their communities. The organization is an association that works collaboratively with, and on behalf of Alberta food banks, regarding corporate food gleaning and solicitation as well as the sharing of program expertise and resources.
