In 2015, the Community Radio Fund of Canada (CRFC) established the Community Broadcasters Foundation of Canada to organize and lead philanthropic initiatives that aim, for example, to educate communities by developing, producing and broadcasting radio clips on topics such as health, addiction prevention, nutrition, physical activity, healthy lifestyle, parenting, personal finances, the welfare of vulnerable individuals, and the history of Canada and of French- and English-Canadian, and First Nations communities.
