Hi, My name is Mary Yang. I am a Field Hockey Canada Next Gen Athlete and I am super greatful to recently be selected for the U16 National team, traveling to the Netherlands in May 2023. My program is largely self-funded, which means I have to make a major financial commitment in order to participate in this program.
I started playing field hockey when I was 6 and goalie when I was 9 in Calgary for Thunder. I grew up as a multiple sport athlete playing Ringette to the AA level. My field hockey career started when I was the red shirt goalie for the U16 Alberta team in 2019 Nationals, then most recently being goalie for the 2022 Nationals where I was awarded Tournament 11.
