Arden Goddard-Despot Next Gen JWC

I am a first-year University Student and a Field Hockey Canada NextGen Athlete.  This December I was thrilled to make my first international tournament at the 2021 World Cup in South Africa. What made it even more meaningful was playing with my sister for the first time as part of Team Canada. I was so disappointed when the tournament was postponed after we arrived in South Africa. Now we have the chance to go back and finish what we had been working towards for so long. My program is largely self-funded, which means I have to make a major financial commitment to participate. I am so grateful for the friends and family who came together to help me fund our trip to the World Cup this fall and now I'm reaching out for this second chance.
