The Federation of Canadian Music Festivals is a cultural network, which discovers, develops, and promotes Canada's young musicians in their pursuit of excellence.
Who We Are:
We are the presenter of the annual FCMF National Music Festival
We are the umbrella organization for affiliated local and provincial competitive music festivals.
We are a festival movement across Canada organized primarily by volunteers, which annually attracts hundreds of thousands of participants as competitors, volunteers, music lovers, patrons, and audiences at various levels.
We are a charitable, not-for-profit Canadian organization of volunteers from across the country.
What We Do:
NATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL - We deliver the annual National Music Festival, providing a platform for amateur musicians to compete on a national stage.
RECOGNIZE AND FOSTER EMERGING TALENT - All festivals affiliated with the Federation share the mutual objectives of recognizing and fostering emerging, young Canadian musicians.
EDUCATE - We educate through feedback, workshops, and masterclasses conducted by professional adjudicators at every level.
PROMOTE EXCELLENCE in musicianship from grassroots to elite levels through our affiliated local and provincial festival associations.
PARTNER with orchestras, symphonies, performing arts tours, and recital series, from coast to coast to provide performance opportunities for Emerging Artists launching a professional career.
