Calgary Queer Arts generates dignity, creativity, inclusion, opportunity, Queer joy, and cultural transformation through the arts.
Calgary Queer Arts is an integral part of Alberta’s creative ecosystem. Our events and experiences, by and for 2SLGBTQIA+ communities and supporters, generate dignity, creativity, inclusion, opportunity, Queer joy, and cultural transformation through the arts.
In a world that is less than friendly to gender and sexually diversity, finding spaces where representation, authenticity and Queer joy can be experienced is not only affirming, in some cases it's life saving! Thank you for helping us reduce social isolation, build community connections and create moments of Queer Joy for all.

This dynamic and comprehensive approach to cultural engagement is aspirational in its vision and measurable in its impact, ensuring that our efforts contribute meaningfully to a more just and inclusive society.
Our mission is "to support and amplify Queer artists, makers, and storytellers, while fostering opportunities for community connections through arts and culture."
Calgary Queer Arts envisions a world where "Queer art is celebrated as part of our shared humanity."
What's Queer Art you ask? Queer art is made by 2SLGBTQIA+ artists, makers and storytellers. It may or may not include 2SLGBTQIA+ themed content. Still not clear? Join us for a film screening, exhibition, theatre production or Calgary Queer Arts event for a joyful and creative experience.
Calgary Queer Arts initiatives are made possible through investments from all levels of government, Calgary Arts Development, the Rosza Foundation, Calgary Foundation, Heritage Canada and donors like you! THANK YOU!
