Our mission is “to be stewards in the collection of surplus and donated food for the effective distribution, free of charge, to people in need in our community while seeking solutions to the causes of hunger”.

Edmonton’s Food Bank envisions a community where all citizens have access to an adequate and nutritious supply of food - essentially, a community where no one goes hungry. Our services are provided free to everyone regardless of age, ethnicity, orientation or religion. In conjunction with addressing our clients' immediate food requirements, we are actively working on ways to reduce their need of our services.   

As an affiliated member of Food Banks Canada, we are committed to the mantra: Relieving hunger today. Preventing hunger tomorrow. We envision a community where all citizens have access to an adequate and nutritious supply of food.
