Mission Statement: Your Saturna Island Library inspires everyone to learn, connect and explore through our collections, programs and services.
From humble beginnings in the early 1990’s, the Saturna Island Community Library has grown into a vibrant and community focused facility serving our community of 465 residents (Census 2021). We welcome over 2,000 library users per year, both residents and many visitors to our special island in the Salish Sea.
Our collection offers a wide variety of books for youth and adults, and a robust assortment of DVDs. Also available is access to a free eBooks, eAudiobooks, and eMagazines, shared with neighbouring libraries. Our shared Library HelpDesk is open 5 days/week by phone and email for your questions on library services, patron accounts, book recommendations, and Tech Tutoring.

- A digital collection with free downloads of popular eBooks, eAudiobooks, and eMagazines
- Local programs for youth (Summer Reading Club) and adults (author readings, play scripts) year round
- Free public computer stations and free Wi-Fi. Printing available for a small fee.
Our library services are delivered by an enthusiastic group of volunteers, supported by library staff shared with neighbouring libraries.
Our strategic goals are to increase community awareness of the library, increase participation in library programs and services, and continue to expand to meet the needs of residents and visitors.
