Who Are We?

The Ecology Action Centre is a member-based environmental charity in Nova Scotia, working on unceded Mi'kmaq territory.

We take leadership on critical environmental issues from biodiversity protection to climate change to environmental justice. We’re grounded in community and act as a strong voice and watchdog for our environment.

The EAC works to catalyze change through policy advocacy, community development and citizen engagement. We take a holistic approach to the environment and our economy to create a just and sustainable society.

Members are the heart of the EAC and have been since our founding in 1971. When you become an EAC member, you’re adding your voice to thousands of others across Nova Scotia and beyond who are calling for transformative change in our world. Together we’re a powerful force!
