It is my pleasure to introduce you to our active and long-established Dr. REM Lee Hospital Foundation, a group of 10 committed directors who work tirelessly in our northern community of Terrace, B.C. fundraising to purchase the latest medical technology that will expand and enhance health services at our new Ksyen Regional Hospital, and Terraceview Lodge Senior’s Facility.        The Dr. REM Lee Hospital Foundation was formed in 1988 as a Registered BC Charity dedicated to achieving a higher level of health care in the region and administered by a volunteer Board of Directors. This Board is committed to strengthening the scope and quality of healthcare in our northern hospital, that provides services not only for the 20,000 in its catchment but upwards of 80,000 residents from across the Northwest: from First-Nations communities on Haida Gwaii, east to Burns Lake and north to the Yukon border.  

The purchase of over $9 million of equipment since our beginning has been key in securing the 25 medical specialists that now call Terrace home!  Having this important equipment in place reduces the need for expensive travel for patients to larger centers such as Vancouver for necessary tests or procedures! Keeping our residents closer to home for the healthcare we deserve, is what we are all about!
