Finally, a 24 hour relay you can do in 30 minutes.
Relay for Relief is a community event to raise funds for Doctors Without Borders Canada / Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) in providing emergency care to people caught in crisis, including those affected by war in the Ukraine, Yemen, Syria, and other ongoing conflicts.
On May 28-29 (noon to noon), 48 participants (solo or with their crew) will each take a 30-minute leg of a 24 hour relay, carrying a baton as they run, skip, dance, wheelchair, cycle, skateboard, kayak, dog walk - you name it - on their way toward glory. Our collective goal is to raise $24,000.
How it works…
1. Sign up as a participant on Canada Helps using the slightly confusing Create a Fundraiser button.
2. Get donations from friends, family, colleagues - pretty much anyone. You’re in a 24 hour relay. You're a hero. People will support you, but you have to ask. Maybe twice. The goal is $500 per 30 minute leg.
3. Claim your spot - sign up for your 30 minute leg on this google doc. Get on this ASAP or you may end up with the graveyard shift (think 3.30am). If you can’t access this link, reach out to Patrick or Christina.
4. On May 28/29…
Participate in person - Come to 198 Crawford Street 10 minutes before your 30 minute leg starts. Be punctual.
