A 24-HOUR RELAY YOU CAN DO IN 30 MINUTES
Flex Community is a group of count-me-in-joiners who come together once a year to support organizations doing amazing work.
On Saturday/Sunday June 1-2 (noon to noon), 48 participants (solo or team) will take a 30-minute leg of a 24-hour relay, carrying a baton as they run, skip, dance, wheelchair, cycle, skateboard, kayak, dog walk – you name it – their way toward glory.
Our collective goal is to raise $24,000 for Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF).
Founded in 1971, MSF’s teams go where people’s medical humanitarian needs are greatest. Operating in more than 70 countries, they provide neutral and impartial, emergency healthcare to people affected by disaster, disease, conflict and exclusion. They offer basic healthcare, perform surgery, address epidemics, rehabilitate and run hospitals, and offer training to local medical staff. They are independent, relying on private donors rather than government support – more than 95 per cent of their funding in 2022 came from private donors.
In 2024, MSF continues to respond to many acute and ongoing emergencies, including crises which are in the spotlight and those that remain underreported, in more than 70 countries around the world.
How the 24-Hour Relay Works

1. Claim your 30 minute leg on this google doc. Any problems, reach out to Patrick, Christina or Jodi.
2. Sign up as an Individual Participant here ; or Create your own team here if you are fundraising as a group.
3. Collect donations from friends, family, colleagues - pretty much anyone. You’re in a 24-hour relay. You're a hero. People will support you, but you have to ask. Maybe twice. The goal is $500 per 30-minute leg.
Participate in person - Come to 198 Crawford Street 10 minutes before your 30-minute leg starts. Be punctual.
Participate remotely - Not in Toronto? Not a problem! Download Ride with GPS and reach out to Patrick to get login details.
Can’t make the event? Please consider sponsoring a participant on the Flex Community 2024 24- Hour Relay page. Just pick a random person from the list. Someone you don’t know. It’ll make their day!
