On November 5, 2020, Andrew passed away suddenly at home in Burnaby, BC. His passing is felt very deeply within the family and among PYS/Roton Colleagues and the sailing community.
He is survived by his Father, Alan Slater, Mother, Dee McRae, and sisters, Jeska Slater and Joanne Mills as well as many relatives near and far. Andrew was a kind soul who was loved by those who knew him.
Andrew is in our hearts and minds and will always be remembered especially for his smile.
In memory of Andrew, our team at PYS/Roton has donated $1,000 towards the Disabled Sailing Association of BC which operates out of the Jericho Sailing Club, and provides opportunities for people with physical disabilities to experience the exhilaration of sailing independently in adapted sailboats.
To continue to make an impact and honour Andrew, we are asking our friends to join our giving and make a donation of any amount. Thank you so much for remembering Andrew, and for your generosity towards the sailing and disability communities.
Andrew Slater -- we will always keep you close to our hearts.

“I joined PYS just on the heels of Andrew's passing; while I am so sad to have just missed him, I was moved to see the impact he left on staff here. He is truly missed and spoken of often.”
