Support student education at the Diefenbunker: Canada’s Cold War Museum.
This GivingTuesday, we’re focusing our fundraising efforts on our educational initiatives. Your contribution to the museum empowers us to follow through in our activities, which may include:
- Facilitating our many educational programs that immerse students in Cold War history
- Providing transportation to school groups travelling to and from the museum
- Welcoming external researchers to access our collections and archives
- Conducting in-house research to expand our platform of Cold War resources
Only $30 could provide transportation for two students to take part in an educational program, or could support us in building new lesson plans and resources for educators.

The Diefenbunker is one of the most unique educational sites in Canada, offering a one-of-a-kind experiential learning environment inside Canada’s most significant Cold War artifact, 75 feet underground. Since the museum opened in 1998, over 15,000 students have engaged in our award-winning educational programs.
Students can experience Canadian history from a perspective unlike any other in our five educational programs, each offering an informative tour of the bunker combined with interactive activities and discussion, all linked to provincial elementary and high school curriculum.
