DSRS provides after stroke support and recovery programs in Delta, BC. We've been at work in the Delta, BC community for over 25 years.
When you donate to DSRS, you help build a space in Delta, BC where every stroke survivor has respect, inclusion, and support.
At DSRS, we offer a social environment for stroke survivors, caregivers, professionals and volunteers. Each week, we gather to make new friends, increase lifestyle options, and become partners in stroke recovery.
Our virtual and in-person programs include a variety of components to help address individual stroke recovery needs:
• Speech language groups led by registered speech language pathologists and volunteers.
• Chair fitness classes led by certified fitness instructors.
• Brain games & Perk Activities®.
• Walking programs for fitness.
• Learning times and guest speakers on topics relevant to stroke recovery & living with disabilities.
• Monthly soup lunch
• Special activities & outings
• Caregiver support
DSRS is a non-profit CRA accredited charity run by volunteers and funded primarily by charitable donations. Without the support of the local community, we would be unable to offer our services to Delta stroke survivors.
