About DARTMOUTH LEARNING NETWORK

The Dartmouth Learning Network (DLN) is a charity located in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia which provides free classes and tutoring for adults who want help with basic reading, writing, spelling, math, GED prep, computer and/or employability skills.

We provide adults and their families with opportunities to build the skills necessary to live and work in a modern economy.

Adults accessing our programming see improved literacy and numeracy skills, experience greater confidence, and build stronger connections to employment, education and community.  Specifically, our adult learners are better able to advocate for themselves and others  in the community, can access higher paying and more secure work opportunities, and are able to transition to college and/or adult high school to further their learning.

A donation to Dartmouth Learning Network ensures that adults have access to free literacy and learning programs in their communities.

"Literacy is a bridge from misery to hope. It is a tool for daily life in modern society...  Literacy is, finally, the road to human progress and the means through which every man, woman and child can realize his or her full potential."
